Campaign Design
Translated growth, recruiting, leadership, and event objectives into campaign concepts with clear hierarchy and brand continuity.
Case Study · Marketing Communications & Campaign Design
On Aretum's Growth team, my role extended beyond graphic design. I developed written content, shaped campaign messaging, and translated business priorities into social media, event, recruiting, executive, and corporate communications designed for distinct audiences and communication goals.
Selected Growth-team work spanning leadership communications, events, recruiting, and social promotion.
Role + approach
From the communication objective through final delivery, I helped shape what the audience would read, what they would see, and how the message should change for the intended channel.
Translated growth, recruiting, leadership, and event objectives into campaign concepts with clear hierarchy and brand continuity.
Developed and refined headlines, body copy, leadership profiles, announcement messaging, calls to action, and supporting campaign text.
Created promotional assets for corporate social channels, professional events, recruiting initiatives, and external-facing Growth-team communications.
Created leadership announcements, executive profiles, and supporting communications that connected individual achievements to Aretum's broader brand and growth story.
The Marketing Challenge
Aretum's Growth communications supported different goals: introduce leaders, promote events, recruit talent, reinforce industry presence, and build awareness around the company's people and capabilities.
My approach was to establish the communication objective first, identify the audience and strongest message, then determine the copy hierarchy and visual treatment appropriate for the channel.
Marketing Workflow
This workflow made the writing and design work visible as one connected process rather than two separate tasks.
Clarify the business or communication goal.
Determine who the message needs to reach.
Prioritize the information that matters most.
Write or refine headline, support copy, and CTA.
Build the visual system around the message.
Adapt, review, and prepare the final channel asset.

The examples below demonstrate how the same brand was adapted to different audiences, formats, and communication priorities.
Long-Form Copywriting · Press Release
For Akshar Patel's appointment, I developed long-form press release copy that moved beyond the social announcement to explain the business significance of the hire, establish his federal-market credibility, and connect his experience to Aretum's Homeland Security growth strategy.
Bethesda, MD – October 27, 2025 – Aretum, a leader in delivering advanced technology, mission solutions, and digital transformation to federal agencies, is pleased to announce the appointment of Akshar Patel as Director of Business Development for the Homeland Security Sector.
In this role, Akshar will lead Aretum's growth strategy across the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and related federal agencies, driving initiatives that strengthen national security, emergency response, and modernization efforts. His appointment underscores Aretum's continued investment in advancing mission-focused innovation for homeland defense and public safety.
“Akshar brings a powerful combination of strategic vision, deep federal expertise, and a results-driven approach,” said Sean DuGuay, Aretum's Chief Growth Officer. “His leadership will accelerate our efforts to deliver transformative solutions that support the Department of Homeland Security and its vital mission to protect the nation.”
Akshar Patel is a seasoned federal sales and business development leader with more than two decades of experience spanning defense, civilian, and law enforcement sectors. Throughout his career, Akshar has successfully led capture and proposal strategies across agencies including the Department of Homeland Security, Department of Defense, Department of State, and Department of Energy. His expertise in shaping mission-aligned solutions, guiding cross-functional teams, and managing complex federal pursuits positions Aretum to expand its impact in homeland and national security programs.

Aretum is a forward-thinking, innovative Government IT services contractor, recognized for its expertise in emerging technologies. Specializing in areas such as digital transformation, systems modernization, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence, Aretum provides customized IT solutions that empower government agencies to meet the demands of the future.
Announce a senior growth appointment, explain its strategic relevance to DHS, and reinforce Aretum's investment in homeland security and public-safety missions.
Structure the release from announcement and role impact to executive endorsement, professional credibility, mission fit, education, and company context.
The press release provided the long-form source narrative that could be condensed into the leadership graphic, LinkedIn copy, website news content, and other corporate communications.
Integrated Campaign Design · Event Marketing
For the 2025 AUSA Annual Meeting & Exposition, the marketing objective was to establish Aretum's presence at a major defense-industry event, identify the company representatives attending, and give Army and industry audiences a clear reason to connect with the team. I translated that objective into a concise event graphic and supporting LinkedIn content that connected Aretum's brand with Army readiness, modernization, innovation, and mission support.
Promote Aretum's participation, increase executive visibility, establish immediate event recognition, and encourage attendees to connect with the company's representatives.
I gathered event details, participant names and titles, approved messaging, organizational priorities, and supporting content from Growth-team stakeholders and SMEs. I then determined which information needed immediate visibility in the graphic and which information belonged in the supporting social narrative.
I prioritized the Aretum brand and “Meet Our Team at the Event” message, followed by the attending leaders and the event date and location. The AUSA identity supplied immediate event context, while military imagery and Aretum's navy-and-gold visual language reinforced the defense-sector audience without competing with the primary message.
The final communication paired a scannable event graphic with longer-form LinkedIn messaging. The graphic established event recognition and executive visibility, while the post expanded the story around Army modernization, readiness, innovation, Aretum's capabilities, and the invitation to connect.
Cross-Channel Thinking
The strongest marketing work is not simply resized. The amount of copy, CTA prominence, pacing, and visual hierarchy should change with the medium.
Fast recognition, concise copy, strong first-line message, branded imagery, and a clear reason to engage.
Date, location, speakers, sponsorship, and action are prioritized so the audience can understand the opportunity quickly.
Leadership announcements and company news require stronger context, credible proof points, concise positioning, and language that can scale from a social caption to a longer press communication.
Subject-to-CTA continuity, modular hierarchy, responsive reading, campaign links, and measurable post-click behavior connect content to performance.
What This Work Demonstrates
This body of work demonstrates the responsibilities behind the assets: understanding the communication goal, developing or shaping the written message, creating the visual direction, adapting it for the channel, and preparing the final deliverable for stakeholder use.
I can develop the visual asset and the supporting written narrative instead of relying on finalized copy as the starting point.
The work supported business development, recruiting, events, executive visibility, and corporate brand communications.
I design around audience behavior and communication context rather than applying one composition to every medium.
Repeatable announcement and campaign patterns improve consistency while allowing content to change as business needs evolve.
